At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. Production Material Handler

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily operational check of forklift
- Quality inspections on palletized product (missing bottles, shrink wrap, label placement, banding tension)
- Transport FG to warehouse/storage location
- Transport hold outs to and from production
- Print tickets for palletizer
- Dump recycling bins
- Transport resin to line
- Pallet reconciliation
- Disposition of scrap product
- Bail Cardboard
- Palletizer operations
- Hand-pack finished product into boxes. Help with breaks as needed.
- Produce scrap tickets and finished good tickets. Stage product for day shift. Work with leads on what may need staged
- Move containers of finished product and/or production supplies to appropriate location using a pallet jack or other means.
- Insert H-Dividers into boxes as necessary in accordance with customer requirements.
- May be required to assist as needed in various production areas to fulfill production/manpower needs.
- Weigh drool and regrind from EBM departments.
- Brings regrind and other materials to the production areas.
- Insures that gaylords are full.
- Makes scrap gaylords for all areas.
- Tickets scrap bottles and put in proper area.
- Sweeps and cleans production areas when time permits or as assigned.
- Cleans and sweeps tunnel under EBM department.
- Transports gaylords to proper area of warehouse and/or production areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIRMENTS
Knowledge/Skills/Education
- Requires high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Basic computer and mathematical skills
- One-year forklift experience preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Hourly Employees work 12 hours per day
There is a 14 day- 2/2/3 work schedule
Week 1- Saturday-Work, Sunday-Work, Monday-Off, Tuesday-Off, Wednesday-Work, Thursday-Work, Friday-Off
Week 2- Saturday-Off, Sunday-Off, Monday-Work, Tuesday-Work, Wednesday-Off, Thursday-Off, Friday-Work
All hourly applicants must be able to work OT on days off if scheduled. This facility is working OT. Please plan on 5 days per week for the next 3-6 months.
Hourly employees are not allowed to leave the building for lunch or breaks.
Composite toe shoes are required
Material Handlers will be on and off the life throughout the shift.
Electronic devices are not allowed on the production floor
Dress Code: T-Shirt and pants without holes, patches or cuts. No shorts or tank tops allowed.
Must have at least 2 years of a solid work history
