Job description
Overall responsibilities include distributing product from inventory and WHIP to internal customers and staging finished product to be packaged. Moving materials, WHIP, finished goods, or other product between work centers, staging for vendors, or assisting in other moves throughout Robinson Metal, Inc.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices
- Coordinate material moves to and from work centers and ensures material needs are met throughout the organization.
- Continuously evaluate material flow practices between work centers.
- Communicate material/inventory discrepancies.
- Complies with OSHA standards.
- Communicate and work well with other departments and team members regarding accurate and timely completion of projects
- Encourages company initiatives like safety, LEAN manufacturing practices, and 6S.
- Maintains necessary clerical records pertinent to the function.
- Other job duties as assigned per the needs of production.
- Identify production priorities and facilitate their success in completing tasks.
