Job Summary

Tri-State 1 Protective Services is currently seeking experienced security professionals with active Maryland Guard Cards and Maryland Handgun permits for a commercial contract. Candidates must also pass all applicable background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities and Duties

General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Securing premises and personnel by ensuring the safety of employees and customers
• Monitoring surveillance equipment
• Observing shoppers and identifying any irregular activity
• Deterring and apprehending shoplifters
• Providing customer service when necessary
• Handling crisis and emergency situations with confidence in accordance with post orders, ensuring all safety and emergency procedures are followed
• Regulating access and egress activities

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be assertive, intuitive, physically fit, a strong leader, and demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

All candidates should satisfy the following criteria:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Maryland Security Guard License
• Maryland Handgun Permit
• Access to reliable transportation (this does NOT include public transportation; Metro Bus, Metro Rail)
• Prior experience required

NOTE: Any candidate in need of a Maryland Security Guard License or Maryland Wear & Carry Permit may obtain one through our training center. Please submit all training inquiries via email.
