Description

Under limited supervision, directly supports Inventory Record Accuracy team to analyze inventory data, determine root cause of inventory discrepancies, and collaborate with different work groups to resolve issues. Reports to IRA Manager.

Job duties may include the following:

Analyzing cycle count and IDA count data utilizing excel - Understanding and utilizing material and transactional flow paths to investigate inventory discrepancies and identify process improvement opportunities

• Developing process flow maps

• Creating and updating standard work and other relevant inventory control procedures

• Following and utilizing CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work

• Have cross-functional communication to complete tasks

• Providing summaries to leadership

• Be a contributing team member

Basic Qualifications

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

• At least 1 year of Inventory Record Accuracy

Experience Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

• Ability to perform repetitive operations

• Ability to walk 3+ miles a day

Top Candidates will also have

• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Self-motivated and self-starter

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work

• Caterpillar product knowledge

• 2 years of experience with inventory control practices

• Experience in Continuous Process/Product Improvement (CPI).

Additional Information

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: M-Th 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Fri 6:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.

Starting pay rate: $20.86/hour

Work location: Sanford, NC
