What You Will Achieve
As a Lead Supervisor / Manufacturing Process Centric Team (PCT) Lead, your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our products, processes and services. You will be responsible for meeting metrics and objectives including preparing forecasts for resource requirements. Your risk-taking ability will help us advance new concepts and methodologies. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to team members and help in problem solving.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Set overall priorities for the PCT to ensure consistent planning, running, and improvement of the Tier 1 operating unit.
  • Ensure that production schedules are achieved, operating within approved budgets and within labor and material standards at the lowest possible cost, meeting all necessary cGMP, Quality and Safety requirements.
  • Support the installation of ecosystem standards to the Tier 1 operating units(s)
  • Assist the business unit manager with projects, reports, and other assigned duties. In the absence of the manager, the Lead Supervisor will assume the leadership or co-leadership role for the business unit.
  • Provide management direction to supervisors and production employees within the associated areas. Ensure training requirements are met and evaluate performance to maximize the efficiency of area personnel.
  • Coach the PCT's colleagues on problem solving and root cause analysis and through structured Gemba sessions
  • Meet production goals as assigned. Evaluate any potential delays in the production schedule and make recommendations to area management to resolve the issues.
  • Complete all documentation associated with the process. Assure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and company regulations.
Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience;
  • OR an Associate's degree with eight years of experience;
  • OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience;
  • OR a Master’s degree with more than three years of experience;
  • OR a Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience years of experience.
  • Must have experience in leadership, coaching, supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Position requires excellent leadership, communication, documentation, multi-tasking, and team skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to effectively react to a variety of problems with minimum time.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve problems with minimum negative impact on production, quality, quantity, and cost.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, change management, and problem solving skills across an organization including working with cross-functional teams in quality
  • Must be able to exercise leadership, diplomacy, and problem solving skills when coordinating and working with all levels of employees.
  • Must have knowledge of computer applications both administrative and operations (MS Office, MS Project, SAP)
  • Must have knowledge of FDA/cGMP requirements.
  • Must have knowledge of Aseptic Practices and Technique including experience with media fills (aseptic process simulations)
Nice-to-Have
  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Previous IMEX (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence or similar production system)
  • Lean, Six-Sigma experience preferred.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Stand up to 10-12 hours per shift, twist at waist 20 times per hour, regularly lift up to 35 pounds per activity 20 times per shift, occasionally lift a maximum of 50 pounds per activity 10 times per shift, occasionally may lift over 50 pounds with assistance, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders/walk on catwalks, repetitive use of upper extremities.
  • Use computer terminal 2 hours per shift, respond to visual warning indicators, respond to audible indicators, respond to color or special visual indicators, work around moving equipment, work on knees occasionally, wear specialized protective clothing, wear PPE (safety shoes/glasses/etc), work in hot or cold environment, work in hearing conservation area
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Work schedule primarily day shift (Monday through Friday) and may require other days. May be requested to cover night shift.
