RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking candidates to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Clayton, NC. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work with our engineering staff and our customer's staff to support the production of off-road equipment. Our customer's facility is a world-class engineering and manufacturing center including full capability of machine design, simulation, prototyping manufacturing, and testing of entire vehicles.

This is a full time position with a full benefit package listed below, that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, direct hire by our customer, and additional opportunities within our own organization.

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

  • Establish routings, methods, processes, and layouts for assembly line
  • Provide costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for current/new product
  • Provide support and trouble shooting for current production
  • Investigate, gather and analyze data and implement solutions
  • Continuous improvements in cost, quality, safety and ergonomics
  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing
  • Improve material flow and material presentation
  • Lead team studies for capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency
  • M-Th work week (6am-4:30pm) with paid time for any additional hours above salaried 40hr week.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Technology with equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in a production environment working with cross functional teams
  • Experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and Lean Sigma Methodology. -
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of related work experience


Desired software experience

  • Microsoft Office
  • CAD Package (AutoCad / Creo / Solidworks)
  • Database management
