ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Lead Major/Capital Projects, researching and recommending investments to meet NIC / Customer needs. Manage project implementation and budget.
• Assess new or existing manufacturing and business processes for potential improvements in safety/quality/efficiency/effectiveness.
• Work with production and quality departments to ensure fabricated parts meet customer design specifications.
• Initiate, facilitate, and lead Kaizen teams to improve quality, productivity, team member engagement to enhance Waste Free Manufacturing.
• Use CAD modeling software for facility updates, design items, packaging solutions and engineering studies as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
• Minimum 5+ Years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment a plus.
• Understands design platforms such as Solidworks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD with the ability to analyze information from these applications and implement designs required.
• CNC machine programming knowledge a plus.
• Project management experience required.
• PMP certification not required, but desired.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing & 5S preferred.
• Experience in developing robust manufacturing processes.
• Experience in reading and understanding blueprints for fabrication and assembly operations.
• Knowledge of Solidworks and DraftSight or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• General knowledge of APQP processes and GD&T
• Ability to grasp complex concepts easily and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
