Job Description
Summary of Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Possess ability to read tape measure to 32nd’s, understand metrics, ability to lift 55 pounds and possess full color perception
  • Any other equivalent combination of training and experience
Accountabilities:
The Rewind Operator has the following accountabilities:
  • Setting up and operating one or more slitting machines, core cutting machine or rewind machine to cut rolls of stock to specifications and wind or rewind as necessary
  • Operate crane to load and unload master rolls and knife shafts
  • Operate manipulator to load and unload slit rolls
  • Check and inspect material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications on work procedures
  • Follow safe operating procedures, comply with safety rules and wear personal protective equipment as specified
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis
  • Perform basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools
  • Observe time recording procedures related to time cards and production sheets
  • Perform tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors
  • Meet normal attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested
  • Complete daily production/quality paperwork
  • Must have basic computer knowledge for data entry
  • Pack slit rolls or assist packer
  • Complying with Company policies and performing other duties as assigned
  • Comply with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisors
