A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development will be responsible for working closely with the VP, Strategy and Corporate Development to help support the definition and development of the Company’s long-term strategic plan consistent with Tandem’s mission and ensure its effective communication to internal stakeholders.

The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the annual strategic planning process and for leading specific analytical workstreams to drive the assessment of organic growth initiatives, acquisitions, and investments. The individual will also be responsible for identifying where processes can be implemented to help improve organizational and financial effectiveness.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

• Supports the annual strategic planning process, including identification and monitoring of opportunities to support long term growth and operational efficiencies.
• Owns the company Market models. Analyzes market drivers, competitive dynamics, and important catalysts to build out robust models and presents summaries to the relevant stakeholders within the company.
• Engages with the Market Research function on primary and secondary research to drive validated inputs into the Market models.
• Manages the end-to-end engagement on discrete strategy projects, including scoping, research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and stakeholder management throughout the process.
• Supports the due diligence process for potential investment and acquisition opportunities and synthesizes key findings.
• Conducts regular analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and portfolio performance; ties financial impact with operational understanding to drive data-driven decision making.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

EXTRA AWESOME:

• BA/BS in a scientific, engineering, financial, business, or other relevant field.
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience, of which 3+ years must be in equity research, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
• Experience in Medical Devices and/or Diabetes space is preferred.
• Must be capable of operating at a technical level at the rapidly evolving intersection of medical devices, healthcare, mobile computing, and data management.
• Experience in developing market models, strategy formulation, and strategy implementation.
• Strong financial skills (analysis, valuation, and modeling).
• Strong analytical skills (market forecasting).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven and motivated with strong persuasive skills.
• High ethical standards; excellent judgment; professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
