Job Description


Our North America Work team is seeking a Manager of Inside Sales in Wholesale. The Manager of Inside Sales oversees the activities of Inside Sales Representatives with an assigned portfolio of customers. This role is responsible for optimizing sales in an existing set of small business accounts by strengthening customer relations and focusing on continually growing revenue based on customer needs, as well as for bringing in new business to expand sales coverage beyond the existing customer base.

Essential duties include:

  • Provide insights on the needs of the business and participate in the development of sales strategies for the North America wholesale team in support of corporate strategies
  • Work cross functionally to deploy and enable adoption of processes, tools and training in support of wholesale strategies; ensure sales team is leveraging sales methodology, and effectively manages accounts
  • Manage and grow existing account relationships to drive expansion
  • Engage with current and prospective customers in several different volume tiers, to include co-ops and buying groups
  • Expand account base by successfully moving new opportunities through sales pipeline, partnering to move accounts to branded segment when account meets segment criteria
  • Leverage insights and analytics provided by Sales Operations to determine appropriate resource deployment, team and program effectiveness, and future strategy development
  • Collaborate with Product Creation and Marketing in the development of product and marketing in support of wholesale strategies
  • Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Manage assigned staff: provide clear goals and expectations; ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities; coach; manage performance; develop; salary administration; enforce systems, policies and procedures; recruit, select and onboard new employees
  • Travel to regional shows to meet and engage with customers in-person, as well as other mandatory strategy/sales meetings

Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one years of supervisory experience is required. Direct experience with footwear preferred.

Qualified candidates should have demonstrated experience coordinating sales strategies and plans, implementing them through specific outlined activities; Strong track record of success as both an individual contributor and as a sales manager; Results oriented and performance driven skills to achieve organization, business unit, and individual goals; Customer focused with proven skill in developing opportunities, developing solutions that fit customer needs, closing new business, and growing existing accounts; General business acumen, financial aptitude and an analytical mindset for solving problems, forecasting, expense management, and profitability and loss; Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, including the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company to drive strategic objectives; Effective communication skills including presentation, written, and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences; Tactical execution skills including managing competing priorities effectively, organization and time management; Excellent computer skills, including CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

This role is predominately an office based, remote position, with frequent travel to business meetings, or strategies. Preferred candidate would be located in the West region/pacific time zone.
