Position Summary

Integral part of the Marketing Technical Enablement team responsible for building, enhancing, and running technical partner enablement programs as needed to support different partner enablement activities for both HW and SW solutions.

The Manager will lead a team of direct reports, including technical enablement specialists, technical project/relationship managers, and other resources needed to support different TGCS partner enablement programs. They will develop and nurture key cross-functional relationships with channel marketing and sales, product and program management, professional services, finance, procurement, business partners, and other groups to ensure the timely and high-quality support of any needed channel/partner enablement programs.

This position requires extensive people management experience and proven knowledge of partner enablement processes to drive team activities towards building, enhancing, and running the programs needed to support key channel and solution partnerships.

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills

Required Skills

  • 4 years minimum people management experience including performance management, motivation, career development and dealing with conflict.
  • 8 years minimum leading technical team and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluency in English
  • Strong analytic and logical problem-solving skills, as well as collaborative and teaming skills.
  • Possess a level of comfort to work "in the weeds" with technical teams, as well as working with high-level executives.
  • Proven track record managing teams and implementing innovative strategies and programs.
  • Possess critical thinking to evaluate complex strategies and develop recommendations.
  • Ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering, and developing productive relationships with leadership across the business and partner relationships.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders in order to foster trust and influence key decisions; collaborate, address conflict and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize activities and work on multiple projects at once.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong domain and product knowledge around Retail and Point-of-Sale hardware and applications will be a plus.

  • Proven experience in achieving operational excellence and developing end-to-end procedures with a keen ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement change.
  • Possess strong consulting skills and the ability to quickly assess situations, identify gaps and possible solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all personnel aspects for their team including hiring, managing individual performance, compensation, job assignments, dealing with conflict, career building, coaching, etc. There could be exceptions but typically this role is expected to manage a medium team of direct reports (between 6-12).
  • Managing execution of technical partner enablement processes to meet or exceed partner program goals.
    • The manager is accountable for meeting KPIs for their project(s) and team.
    • The manager staffs and balances resources across their projects.
    • The manager will assist with priorities, handle escalations, and support the needs of their team (manage/approve travel, expenses, space, and equipment planning, etc.).
    • This role is not expected to perform coding or peer-reviewing the team's technical work. However, the manager is expected to be knowledgeable of the product architecture, feature function, product backlog, priorities, and product performance in the marketplace, especially as it relates to how TGCS partners with others to further drive TGCS' success.
  • Promoting continuous program and process improvement and best practices across all partner enablement programs that will ensure consistency and overall improved business results from partnerships.
    • The manager is accountable for defining and refining key roles and processes to support program goals.
    • The manager is accountable for gathering critical Voice of Partner and driving changes to impact partner programs successfully.
    • Addresses efficiency issues and improvements for this team, as well as influences key efficiency improvements across cross functional organization.
  • Collaborating with Marketing Sr. Leadership and other internal Business leaders to plan, develop and execute the Partner Enablement strategy in concert with multiple cross-functional teams. Collaborating with external stakeholders to capture Voice of Partner (VOP) and incorporate into strategic planning as needed.
    • The manager is accountable for driving consistency and best practices across different partner programs when possible, influencing program strategy to achieve this goal.
  • Ensuring proper communication on deliverables as appropriate up through management levels within the organization.
    • Works with leadership from Marketing, Sales, Portfolio and Professional Services to ensure proper communication on established partner program goals and plans.
