AHRC NYC is looking for a Part-time (21hr.) Maintenance Worker who will be responsible for providing maintenance support to our main office located at 83 Maiden Lane in Manhattan. This position has an annual salary of between $28-$30k and comes with a very generous benefit package which includes: free medical paid by employer, dental and vision plans, tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off, health savings plan, a 403b plan with employer match and more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED)
• Prefer one-year experience as a handyman or maintenance man
• Ability to troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
• Excellent painting skills
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually
• Lite computer skills helpful

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment & make necessary recommendations
• Paint all AHRC floors, as needed hallways, elevator lobbies, bathrooms, doors, offices/meeting rooms and training rooms
• Change light bulbs throughout AHRC floors and elevator lobby areas on AHRC floor
• Change out water filters in all the pantries on the AHRC floors
• Refill hand sanitizer dispensers on all AHRC floors
• Hang and fix all sneeze guards
• Hang pictures and notice boards
• Fix furniture by replacing chair seats, backs, and arms on the Life desk chairs
• Perform minor fixes such as replacing broken locks
• Clean and disinfect the ice machines on the 11th floor and Penthouse
• Repair and/or replace plumbing fixtures
• Orders supplies and materials required for painting, repairs & maintenance
• Maintain records and work logs electronically
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
