As one of the fastest growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Must have strong organizational skills to accurately complete and file required reports and documents and excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Understand federal, state and local codes and regulations.
  • Ability to perform work independently.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong PLC, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical/electronic and industrial skills with some HVAC
  • OSHA 10 – 30 Hour
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling/ mobile equipment in performing duties.
  • Computer skills, preferably Microsoft Office Suites, Outlook, RFID scanning equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, coolant and oils, moving mechanical parts and vibration. In addition, the employee is periodically exposed to elevated heights.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical requirements for this job directly reflect the essential functions necessary to be successful in this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing and sitting throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will also need to adjust to changes in temperature and noise level.
