Overview and Goals of the Maintenance Manager: We are accepting applications for a dynamic and people oriented full-time Maintenance Manager reporting to the Director of Manufacturing in our Stevensville, MD facility. The primary hours of this exempt position are 7-3:30, M-F. The Maintenance Manager will guide and manage a team of 5-6 hourly employees performing a variety of essential duties. The well-qualified candidate for this exciting opportunity will have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and support the company’s business operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Scheduling and overseeing all maintenance-related work by managing the in-house team
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing all work by sub-contractors
• Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance plan for all major machinery and equipment
• Ensure the facility satisfies all industry and OSHA regulations working with the Director of HR/Safety and Safety Coordinator
• Ensure all machinery is up to working standards
• Assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Use data analysis to help prepare for an prevent future problems
• Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
• Train new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
• Create and adhere to a maintenance budget
• Ensure that the company premises and facilities are kept well maintained and clean
• Manage a team of hardworking individuals proactively
• Uphold a work environment with safety as the highest priority
• Draft maintenance reports as needed
• Can effectively handle both the administrative and mechanical responsibilities

The successful Maintenance Manager candidate must have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3+ years of management experience
• Must have experience working/managing in a Manufacturing environment - residential or building management outside of the manufacturing environment will not be considered
• Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.
• Ability to drive a forklift & high reach
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities efficiently
• Outstanding organizational skills
