Our dairy cooperative is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice at our Middlebury, VT location on second shift (3:30p-11:30p) or third shift (11:30p-7:30a).
Starting rate is $23.71. There are multiple levels of maintenance and a lot of opportunity to learn and grow. Plus, there is a 7%-10% night differential (based on actual hours worked) and you have the ability to receive increases every 6 months for 2 years (based on performance). Relocation assistance may be available to the right candidate!
The selected individual will be learning and assisting experienced maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure there are minimal disruptions to production.
We will provide training courses and hands-on learning opportunities to help build a solid skill base for the selected individual to support their professional growth and career.
Qualifications include:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong safety record and awareness.
- Ambition to learn.
- Can working both independently and as a strong team member.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. On occasion, may be required to lift items weighing 80 pounds.
