Machine Operator (Platemaker)
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at Lakeside Book Company. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help craft books that end up in the hands of readers across the country. No experience necessary! We will provide you with all the training you need to be successful.
Starting Rate: $17.50 an hour for day shift
Work Hours: We have lots of working options to accommodate your lifestyle! 12-hour shift;
3am-3pm working 36 hours in week 1 and 48 hours in week 2 (1.5x pay for weekly hours over 40).
Location: 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, MO
As our Machine Operator in our Prepress Area, you will:
- manage/set up/ maintain run plate making equipment for printing process
- basic work with electronic files
- look for defects and errors in finished aluminum plates
- work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- receive training to help advance your career
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
