Position: Machine Operator
Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm (work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!)

Job Summary:
The Rewinder Operator is responsible for the inspection and slitting of printed roll materials while monitoring tension, label and roll count of all finished products. The Rewind Operator is further responsible for performing manual and mechanical duties to set up and operate rewinding machinery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sets up and maintains slitter/rewinder converting equipment; load roll, guiding system, blades for slitting and cores.
- Operates equipment, slitting rolls to final size.
- Brings machine up to optimal speeds for the product being run.
- Monitors operation of machinery to ensure product is being run efficiently, while making any required adjustments
- Adjusts speed, tension and pressure settings as necessary to maintain proper web tension.
- Packages rolls and prints tags with customer information.
- Performs machine adjustments by using hand tools to maintain specifications and operator speed and performs knife changes.
- Troubleshoots and problem solves machine and job order problems.
- Stops machine, removes defective product, splices and re-starts the machine when defective product is found.
- Ensures product is meeting customer specifications by periodically checking product sample from finished rolls.
- Ensures personal safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operation.
- Communicates job requirements / specifications with co-workers.
- Completes required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- May transports material using powered hand truck or fork truck.
- Assists in developing, maintaining and follows Standard Operating Procedures
