Title of Position: Machine Operator – Whitmore Lake MI Location - Eligibility for benefits 1st of Month following 30 days continuous employment.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Education: Some High School preferred, High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Experience: Will Train
• Special skills/Certifications: N/A
• Physical Attributes: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and the ability to use stairs on a consistent basis

Job Details:

1.) Operation of assigned extruder and other production tasks as identified within instructions and procedures.

2.) Inspect all aspects of machine for any issues and report as necessary.

3.) Ensure that barrel vacuum vent system is clean and clear. Inspect system for leaks and correct as necessary.

4.) Ensure barrel vacuum vent sludge pot is empty.

5.) Ensure that all operational requirements are being maintained on a persistent basis through the shift.

6.) Make frequent inspections of all feeding, pelletizing, classification, and cooling equipment to ensure it is operating properly. Inform your supervisor of any problems.

7.) Cleaning equipment and surrounding area throughout and prior to shift change.

8.) Inspect hose connections to verify proper silo hook up and feeder destinations.

9.) Weigh scrap, raw, and finished material and label properly.

10.) Verify that the correct materials and recipe are being used according to work order.

11.) Filling hand add feeders as necessary to ensure machine continues to operate.

12.) Inspect, report, and correct any product issues to ensure that we provide a quality product to our customers.

13.) Feeder operation is to be monitored on HMI throughout shift to ensure that the feeders are operating and feeding into the machine.

14.) Communicate any machine issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor for correction.

15.) Assist other Operators throughout shift.

16.) Operate and clean equipment responsibly and safely at all times.

17.) Maintain a safe working environment.

18.) Perform any additional tasks as delegated by shift supervision personnel.

19.) Comply with all company policies and procedures, work instructions, forms, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.75 per hour
