**Must have Blood Draw and IV cert in hand

Department: IM - Marina
Location: 4676 Admiralty Way 4th Floor, Marina Del Rey, Ca. 90292
Shift Hours: 9am-6pm
Schedule Days: M-F

Required Qualifications:

• Certification from an accredited school and current or in process CA license
• Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID
• BLS
• 1+ experience in outpatient medical setting
• Phlebotomy and IV certified- must have in hand
• Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication administration including oral, SQ, IM, and IV medications
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and diagnostic procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in specific setting
• Intermediate computer skills
• Experience with CS Link/Epic
• Straight cath and IV start up

Job Duties:

• Set up exam rooms/procedure rooms using sterile/aseptic technique with appropriate instruments or trays
• Perform and record QC testing on designated equipment
• Schedule nurse visits for phlebotomy, testing, or other procedures
• Take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens for pick up
• Handle clinic care telephone interactions with provider input
• Communicate significant clinical findings to provider
• Cover MA duties for absences, illnesses, and breaks
• Transcribe provider dictated patient history, present illness, family and social histories, medications, and allergies
• Transcribe physical examination findings and procedures performed by provider
• Transcribe patient education and explanations of risks and benefits of performed treatments by the provider
• Prepare and send orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as directed provider
• Prepare and edit scribed documents for provider review and signature
