LPN- Behavioral Health

*** $5,000 sign-on bonus ***

CenterPointe Hospital is looking for compassionate nurses to provide exceptional patient care at our 72-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Columbia, MO. The right candidate will have a passion for behavioral health nursing and a desire to make a difference for our adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This is a very rewarding position for nurses who support our mission!

Job duties:

-Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works together to meet the needs of our patients

-Pass medications and complete nursing assessments on each shift

-Provide psychotherapeutic treatments to patients

-Assist patients in identifying coping skills in crisis situations

-Provide a listening ear for an underserved patient population

Job Requirements:

-Active unencumbered nursing license

-Nurses with all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Behavioral Health experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification required. Successful completion of crisis prevention intervention training provided during new employee orientation, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, during orientation, and prior to assisting in a restraining process
