Overview:
Baseband Telcom Corp. is a national infrastructure, utilities and specialty contractor serving the wireless, broadband, and telecommunications markets. We plan, build and support communications infrastructure for our clients across the Southwest Region.

Baseband Telecom (BBT) is currently seeking a Low Voltage Project Manager for our Team in the Las Vegas, NV market. BBT installs & integrates low voltage solutions that seamlessly integrate audiovisual, physical security, structured cabling, and wireless solutions, (including DAS and Wi-Fi systems). Our experience spans Enterprise, Government, Medical Complexes, Multi Dwelling Units, Universities, Venues, Stadiums, Commercial Properties, New Residential Properties, Fiber Overbuild, Public Safety, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Projects involving multiple services provided by client, i.e., structured cabling pull, DAS, Wi-Fi, AP installation, IDF & MDF installation, rack & stack, etc.
  • Other complexities, such as projects that involve low voltage/structured cabling systems specific construction activities.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, promote, and discipline, if necessary, all project-related staff.
  • Manage the workload distribution and monitor the customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
  • Reviews all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness including production and daily reports.
  • Manages all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participates in and/or facilitate the bid process.
  • Acts as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • Creates, develops, and implements account process improvement(s).
  • Partner with QA/QC Team to ensure specifications are communicated, anchored, and achieved in accordance with client quality plan requirements. Complete post-project walk through ensuring the customer’s quality expectations have been met or exceeded.
  • Manage job cost/profitability and schedules through internal systems and reports: work with customer teams to meet master schedule such as providing specific work dates for scheduled items; communicate with internal resources regarding project updates, scope changes, order changes, and other events impacting the project; ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Track projects, evaluate cost vs. performance to ensure projects come in on time and within budget.
  • Represent the company in client project meetings.
  • Provide coaching, development, and guidance to direct reports and/or team members, encouraging them to promote a culture and to develop with emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data center construction and project management including the installation of standard cabling technologies, rack infrastructure and managing large scale build projects including the ability to communicate, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Extensive experience managing low voltage work on large multi-million new commercial construction sites.
  • Familiarity with all major cable manufactures installation standards and testing criteria including, but not limited to Corning, Panduit, Systimax, Commscope, Corning, and others.
  • Successful completion of previous telecommunication projects.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling industry including technology, quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to learn and support new and quickly evolving technologies.
  • Ability to research information and identify solutions regarding technical issues.
  • Good work habits under pressure, flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining high work quality including ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and versatility in integrating into multiple work environments.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
Pay range: $90,000 - $115,000 annually depending on experience.
