Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Logistics Tech II who is responsible for the accuracy & storage of incoming and outgoing product. The Logistics Tech will participate in our CORE progression and make improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance of the team’s work area and health metrics.

Location: ONSITE – San Marcos, TX - (Greater Austin, TX area)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in site initiatives as directed that support site KPI’s related to EHS
  • 75% main support to our new insourced product of Aluminum Core
  • 25% support and backup to Legacy product with other team members
  • Assist with monthly cycle counts of all raw and finished goods (FG)
  • Use SAP software to receive incoming goods and the shipment of outbound material on time.
  • Assist with raw material storage and replenishment activities.
  • Use CORE tools to reduce waste in our WIP processes while improving productivity.
  • Prepare shipments of FG and setup pickup with freight providers
  • Order materials as needed to perform your job duties.
  • Participate in weekly 5s audits.
  • Assist with reviewing and updating standard work for shipping/receiving activities.
  • Learn how to file AES/EEI documentation for U.S Customs
  • Must be able to stay late on occasion to support production with little to no notice
  • Crane and Forklift certifications can be learned on-site.
  • Training required for DOT/IATA, HAZMAT which will be conducted on-site.
  • Assist with production flow, when necessary
  • Update Delivery Assurance metrics for shipped material.
  • Update PFEP datasheet with shipping owned information.
  • Participate in the development of smart factory tools.
  • Support achievement of CORE progression activities, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Shipping & Receiving preferred.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.
