Job Description

Deepwater, part of Acteon Group, protects our clients' assets from corrosion. We solve corrosion problems and improve anti-corrosion technology to reduce maintenance costs and preserve the integrity of the energy industries' infrastructure.

Deepwater is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to the team here in Houston. The Logistics Coordinator will assist both inside sales and shipping/receiving with logistics requirements.

Duties

Logistics

• Arranging collections for items to be dispatched, including international freight
• To liaise with the various freight forwarders delivery in the required timeframe
• For shipments with Controlled Goods ensure the export compliance procedure has been followed and liaise with Operations Manager should any additional details be required from the client prior to arranging shipping
• Track the air/sea shipments through to final delivery
• Negotiate the best service and price from suppliers and achieve maximum cost reduction to produce margin improvements
• Ensure that all shipments are undertaken in line with customer expectations in terms of standard service, costs, and time frames
• Work with colleagues to ensure the stock system is updated and the team is made aware of any missing/damaged items equipment return

Inside Sales

• Assist the Inside Sales team and Project Managers with product quotes and sales
• Quote price and delivery information via phone, Teams, and e-mail
• Order entry, and respond to customer inquiries regarding order status
• Solicit bids from suppliers to enable quoting of non-standard products
• Assist with invoicing client for product sales
• Assist in answering operator telephone
• Maintain and organize documentation to ensure compliance with Trade compliance requirements
• Familiarity with Amber Road Screening tool
