Hours: Monday–Thursday 7am-5pm and Fridays 7am–11am

Position Purpose:

This position supports all project coordinators, coordinates, and leads all logistics and administrative functions to execute contracts. This position also plans, leads and coordinates purchasing activity for vehicles, equipment, and shop management. You will recommend the acquisition of materials, equipment, tools, and supplies based on project or business needs.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for any project team handouts, logistics arrangements, calendar updates, communication with clients, project schedules and tracking progress.Ensure that company vision, core values, goals, purpose, safety, and culture are being driven, exemplified, shared, and taught with consistency.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Logistics

  • Coordinate our equipment deliveries with brokers and truck owners to assure we have equipment on site to start on job as scheduled
  • Rebook trucks that cancel to haul our equipment, Mon-Sun
  • Continuous field communication as it relates to equipment and or material deliveries 7 days a week
  • Support field staff i.e. Superintendent/Foreman with arranged equipment delivery/pickup jobs
  • Call off equipment
  • Maintain all back up correspondence
  • Support with fleet management

DCS:

  • Obtain quotes for material needed, i.e. komponent, rail systems, safety vests, chairs, etc.
  • Create and issue all paperwork required to ship overseas, i.e. cert. of origin, packing lists, commercial invoices
  • Coordinate shipping of such material to ports specified with customs broker

Purchasing:

  • Order material and supplies for jobs to satisfy job and save minimize waste
  • Schedule deliveries for material, supplies, rental equipment, and subs
  • Evaluate project layouts to determine material & equipment needed to complete the job
  • Manage and write PO’s for material and supplies
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, i.e. White Cap, MultiQuip, to maintain a high quality of goods and timely delivery
  • Verifies receipt of items & Authorizes payments

Required Skills and/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly autonomous, self-directed, organized and detail oriented
  • Comfortable working in a construction and manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Able to interface and communicate with all levels of employees and management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
  • May consider 5 years of relative experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics

Pay: $24.00 - $26.44 per hour

  • Logistics: 2 years (Required)
  • Purchasing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Construction: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
