Shaker Heights Country Club is a Premier full service Food and Beverage operation in Northeast Ohio. We are looking for Back of House candidates for full time, part time, and seasonal work. We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, scholarships, uniforms, staff meals, and a lot of fun and friendships.
Back of the House positions include prep cooks, line cooks, banquet cooks, dishwashers, and snack bar attendants. We are also looking for 2 candidates to run our outdoor facilities. This is a full time seasonal position with greater pay, but more experience is needed such as previous management and cooking experience.

Applicants should have previous and relevant education, experience, and training. This includes culinary school diploma, past country club or hotel experience, and/or at least 2 years of restaurant experience. Applicants most be able to follow and execute recipes, prepare menu items in accordance to the standards set by the Chef, maintain a clean and sanitary work station, lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and be able to arrive to work on time and in proper uniform.

Line Cook Responsibilities

Job brief

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

· Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

· Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

· Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

· Clean up station and take care of leftover food

· Stock inventory appropriately

· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

· Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
