Cantinetta Luca is located on the beautiful central coast in Carmel-by-the-Sea, offering an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and capable Line Cook to join our team. We have a 17-year tradition as one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in California with all of our sauces, bread, and salumi created in-house. We proudly hand-cut our own meats and only serve our exquisite handmade pasta and bread.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Line Cook with 3 years of solid experience in a fast-paced, high-volume upscale restaurant. Must have Sauté, Pasta, Grill, and Wood Oven Pizza experience. Previous Italian cuisine experience preferred. Must be flexible in availability as we are a Wednesday - Monday establishment.
Work in side-by-side with Jason Balestrieri, our Executive Chef, in creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Areas of Accountability:

Orders supplies based on need or as directed.

Maintains all sanitation and nutritional practices are followed by each kitchen employee.

Ensures food is prepared according to exact requirements of the recipes while ensuring that the food presentation is maintained with a commitment to quality.

Requires a commitment to detail both verbally and non-verbally in food production and communication with co-workers.

*
Ensures there is a continual flow of internal communication with both the meal preparation staff and the serving staff to promote team building practices.

Identifies and determines the best course of action for any issues relevant to the position as well as looks at ways to incorporate changes for the benefit of the staff.

Determines how to best achieve the goal of not only meeting the restaurant’s specifications regarding presentation of all food prepared but exceeding the outlined commitment to quality.

Ensures the customer’s dietary restrictions are followed in food preparation..

*
Adhere to and promote the Mirabel Hotel and Restaurant Group Service standards.

Assist with training new kitchen team members.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
