Job Details:
The Child Development Center is recruiting a full-time Licensed Psychologist to join our Missoula office.

In this position you will:

  • Provide diagnostic psychological evaluations for children 2-17 suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), other related neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, behavioral disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders
  • Provide evidence-based treatment/intervention to children with ASD and other comorbid psychiatric/medical/behavioral conditions
  • Work collaboratively with professionals in other disciplines, including speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, counselors, social workers, physical therapists, and behavior analysts

Requirements:

  • Experience working with and being comfortable around children with disabilities (who may display challenging behavior) and their families.
  • Effective, articulate, and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of time-tracking software and electronic/medical records systems.
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in working with children with ASD.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and related ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic criteria and treatment needs for various psychiatric disorders
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide variety of standardized psychological measures
  • Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic intervention with individuals, groups, and families
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people

· Experience completing complex diagnostic situations involving multiple disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical, school, and/or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program (required)
  • Must be licensed in the state of Montana
  • Minimum of (2) years of experience of providing psychological testing to children and adolescents.
