Essential Functions

Our L.P.N.s play a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all residents. The L.P.N. supervises select staff and safeguards the health, safety, and welfare of all residents under their care. Among other tasks, L.P.N.s will:

  • Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice;
  • Provide nursing care to assigned residents while on duty. Assess residents’ statuses according to their care plan and ensure care plans are followed;
  • Carry out direct contemporaneous charting and chart detailed monthly evaluations of each resident;
  • Administer or supervise treatment for pressure ulcer care, catheter care, and hot and cold compounds, administer injections and medications within the scope of licensure;
  • Review daily documentation of controlled substances and narcotics distribution. Verify inventory of drugs covered by controlled substances laws; and
  • Assign and supervise all C.N.A.s and other relevant staff. Assign break times and all regular and special assignments.
