Sonora Hearing Care, LLC is looking for a full-time Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Sonora Hearing Care is a fast-growing, employee-focused, and innovative privately owned audiology practice located in sunny Tucson, Arizona.

The Hearing Instrument Specialist will be responsible for assisting the audiologists with patient care appointments as well as providing support in a team focused manner.

You will independently provide high-quality patient centered care focused on the following duties: This requires a strong grasp of hearing aid fitting and troubleshooting, as well as a track record of successful sales skills.

As a Hearing Instrument Specialist, your day might include the following:

• Fitting hearing aids from a range of different manufacturers
• Teaching caregivers how to ensure their loved ones are wearing their hearing aids regularly
• Performing multiple hearing aid evaluations and demonstrations to help people move forward with the care they need
• Seeing clean and check appointments for routine care and maintenance
• Troubleshooting equipment on the fly during an appointment
• Calling tested not treated patients
• Handling walk ins and drops offs of hearing aids and accessories
• Attending a training for a new hearing aid product
• Hosting a lunch and learn for a physician’s office, if applicable
• Making a seminar presentation and scheduling participants for hearing tests
• Problem-solving to find a solution for a difficult-to-fit patient
• Assisting the audiologists with orientation of hearing aids
• Assisting patients with pairing accessories and pairing hearing aids to smart phones
• Annual rechecks of hearing for proper programming and real ear measurements
• Providing best practices, including real ear measures and Test Box Measures.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (Required)
• Hearing Aid: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Arizona Hearing Aid License or are eligible for one? (Required)
