This new hire can work from our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD, UK, Canada or India. The position title will report to the IT BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP DIRECTOR.

Position Overview
The SAP IT lead for Manufactruing M2D has workstream level IT responsibility on a Global SAP Program. He/she partners with the GPO and the Solution Integrator lead to deliver the SAP solution, acting as a functional and technical subject matter expert. He/she provides guidance to align with the program guiding principles and ensure the scalability and long-term supportability at the best possible TCO. The M2D IT lead has managerial responsibility for the full-time IT resources in the Manufacturing workstream.
This position acts as the primary liaison to business workstream leaders and uses in-depth knowledge of our applications and tools to facilitate the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business process and information technology. The M2D IT lead is responsible for solution identification and design, translating business needs and objectives into solutions and technology roadmaps and solution delivery for Manufacturing and Asset Management. Primary focus is to shape global business processes to align with leading practice capabilities, whenever a competitive advantage is not required. This position serves as the top functional or technical consultant on Program Leo touching their area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Relationship Management – Primary liaison to M2D GPO and SI workstream lead to define solution, address business objectives, enable efficiencies. Influence business Long Term Plan with technology acumen.
• Provides inspirational and effective leadership, training and support to his/her team. Provides leadership in task prioritization. Leads performance reviews and development discussions with direct reports, including setting goals and appraisals. Enables training opportunities for team members. Works to support other teams as needed.
• Owns IT Long Term Plan for SAP Manufacturing and Asset Management. Working closely with steering committees, business leads, BRD, internal and external customers, vendors and peer companies, research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support McCormick’s strategic initiatives.
• Seeks constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes, streamlines and optimizes business and/or IT processes whilst maximizing effectiveness.
• For projects, formulates systems scope, estimates, and objectives relative to business needs and project requirements, considering application of industry best practices and new technologies.
• Participates in project request reviews with GPO and Senior GPO

Required Qualifications
Level of Education and Discipline : BA/BSc - Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline
Experience functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen : 12 years in-depth experience with 5 years expertise in more than one functional area, Minimum of 5 full life-cycle implementations, preferably including 2 with global deployment, Solution design experience across multiple sub-processes or SAP modules for Manufacturing, Asset Management , Warehouse Management. Demonstrated ability to lead in problem solving process for projects and support
Interpersonal Skills: People leadership, Ability to build relationships, interface effectively with all levels of the organization, Ability to influence across functional teams and manage relationships across multiple cultures, Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills; outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment, Capable of assigning work and monitoring follow-through and output, Demonstrated written communication skills, specifically, documentation of system design, configuration, and process specifications
Other Skills and HPO Competencies: Expertise in delivery, project management, process management and business systems requirements definition in large global programs. Knowledgeable of non-SAP tools used at McCormick in the manufacturing area (MES, OT systems, IIOT, Scheduling systems), Project management skills in both waterfall and agile.

Preferred Qualifications
Level of Education and Discipline : MS
Certification and/or Licenses SAP, PMP
Experience: Experience in supply chain and manufacturing in process or other industries
