POSITION PURPOSE
Primarily responsible for providing clerical support for commercial lending activities while projecting a professional company image in all forms of communication. Types, prepares, and files a variety of documents and performs miscellaneous clerical functions as needed. Provides high quality and professional service to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Assists Commercial Lender(s) with all clerical tasks associated with the lending process. Periodically supports other lending staff with administrative tasks as requested.
  • Performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to; photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Discuss consumer non-real estate applications with customer/ input into system for processing.
  • Be able to discuss loan servicing situations with customers, including escrow and payment issues
  • Meets, greets, and assists clients and visitors to the bank.
  • Makes transfers for bank customers. Processes loan payments and tracks insurance on business loans.
  • Assists with disbursement and advances on loans, including construction draws.
  • Assists with monitoring and clearing loan exceptions.
  • Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly. Obtains and conveys information as needed. Maintains the Bank’s professional reputation.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Assists in loan workflow tasks as requested.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure and well maintained.
  • Completes special projects as assigned. Attends and completes compliance and products/services training as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Required:
Prior clerical experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment.
Previous consumer and/or mortgage lending experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:
Moderate computer application skills; including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of file maintenance, English grammar, appropriate standards regarding letters, memorandum, composition, and proper telephone etiquette.
Basic reading and arithmetic skills.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Organizational skills, or ability to prioritize and complete various tasks within deadlines.
Accurate and attentive to detail. Well organized.
Ability to assist others.
Able to use computer, adding machine, copy machine and basic equipment.
