There is now a Lending Assistant – Reduced Full Time position available at the Stadium Service Center. This position works 11-close Monday through Friday as a Reduced Full-time position. This is a great opportunity for staff to have a reduced hour schedule and also assist our members with both their new account and lending needs. The successful candidate will be good with cross-sells, have good attention to detail, and provide solutions to member problems. This position will ultimately lead to becoming an Account Services Representative (within the first year) and having the ability to earn more incentives. Staff interested in this position who are already working as an ASR would maintain their ASR status.
Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate, friendly and professional service to members in person and by telephone, and offers financial guidance and advice.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the credit union’s loan policy and ensures compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations as well as credit granting criteria.
- Helps members anticipate potential problems, offering suggestions and possible solutions.
- Understands a member’s needs and professionally promotes appropriate credit union products and services.
- Provides routine information concerning credit union loan services or policies, including; but not limited to: loan options; interest rates charged on loans; how we compute interest on loans; how to start, stop or change a payroll deduction, direct deposit or new payroll.
- Performs a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union.
Qualifications:
- Previous lending and/or financial institution experience preferred.
- Knowledge of loan policy and procedures.
- Loan interviewing skills and techniques.
- Punctuality, flexibility, organizational skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
