Reports to: Marina General Manager
The Leasing Manager’s responsibility is to manage and drive all leasing activities at the marina.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist all members and tenants with any inquiries submitted and completing lease paperwork
Maintain weekly leasing reports for leasing activity, departures, and delinquent slip rents
Process deposits and rent payments
Monitor and contact customers 30 days before lease expiration
Work directly with the TopSide Marketing team to generate leads and drive slip occupancy to the marina
Respond to all leads generated within a reasonable amount of time
Maintain documentation of calls and visits with current and potential customers
Conduct walk-throughs and inspections of the marina grounds to ensure cleanliness
Lead tours of the marina
Build rapport and follows up with potential members and tenants
Implement and participate in member and tenant retention programs
Train Leasing Coordinators / Admins with processes and procedures, customer service, reporting, etc.
Ensure staff has a working knowledge of all computer and technology systems and POS software
Lead a weekly team meeting to review performance, discuss opportunities and challenges, and to improve workflow processes and procedures
Manage employee disciplinary issues by documenting incidents and working with Human Resources to develop Performance Improvement Plans as necessary
Manage employee schedules by reviewing and approving timesheets as well as PTO and Sick requests in ADP, ensuring proper scheduling of employees to meet the needs of the marina
Notify Human Resources and submit appropriate documentation for Workers’ Compensation claims and OSHA incidents
Perform such duties as assigned by the Marina General Manager or Marina Assistant Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
At least 2-5 years’ related experience in leasing
Strong passion for providing excellent hospitality and customer service
Maintain a thorough understanding of all marina operations to be able to assist at all times
Adaptable to work composed of a variety of different tasks
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time despite interruptions
Ability to make independent decisions and determine the appropriate course of action
Professional conduct and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel
Math computation skills
Strong work ethic and personal commitment
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
Adaptable to a fast-paced environment
Good presentation, facilitation, and computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook email, Word, and Excel
Must be willing to work two weekends a month
Must send Regional VP a weekly report of all leasing activity, new leases , renewals, delinquent accounts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
