Position Overview:
The Learning and Development Specialist focuses on instructional design, including e-learning, and builds programs and courses to support employee and organization development. The learning and development specialist in partnership with the L&D Manager works with cross-functional teams to support and assess learning needs, design and create education materials, and rollout learning programs to help meet organizational goals. They also analyze training needs throughout the organization. Act as an instructor or facilitator for new employee onboarding and educational opportunities.

This onsite role will be based out of our offices in the City of Industry, CA with some domestic travel required.

What Will You Be Doing?

Support the delivery of digitally led experiential learning programs to support associates at all leader levels in their growth and development
Partner with the L&D Manager, other HR centers of excellence and HR business partners to align learning and development programming with overall HR initiatives to maximize impact
Team up with the Global Inclusion & Diversity team on developing programming to strengthen inclusion, diversity, and cultural competencies across the organization as the company continues to grow globally
Ensure the VVG Culture & Values, Leadership Standards, and Purpose are embedded throughout learning & development programs
Actively track timelines and deliverables for multiple projects laddering up to the overall learning & development roadmap
Regularly review, maintain and update learning libraries ensuring current content keeping the digital user-experience at the forefront
Manage learning technologies and leverage data to drive results and share insights with the HR team and business partners
Maintain budget and point of contact relationships with vendors and consultants
Develop and maintain communication and participation management in learning programs
Stay curious and research best practices in learning, growth and development to ensure our programs evolve in progressive ways
Stay current on evolving developmental needs and ways of working through internal listening and external benchmarking

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
4+ years of experience with adult learning in business/professional environments required
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Learning Management System (LMS)
Demonstrated experience developing e-learning for adult learners across multiple departments
Proven ability to take initiative, problem-solve during ambiguous situations, use sound judgment, and maintain flexibility and composure during change.
Demonstrated ability to work at a varied pace, adhere to schedules and deadlines, prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and technical presentation skills
Skill in identifying and resolving problems
Proficient at verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently to meet company goals and timelines
Ability to deal with change and ambiguity
Detail oriented and accurate
Intermediate-level computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and presentation equipment
