LEAP is Canfor’s 12-month rotational development program, designed to rapidly evolve talented individuals and advance leaders in our operations. This program is made to develop our people and allow them to learn, work and grow.

This program is a one-year crash course to leadership town. It was created for the hustler who is ready to give it their all, in exchange for rapid advancement. This is a rare opportunity to learn every part of our operation, from the sawmill to maintenance and all in between. After completion of your one-year program, you will transition to a six-month job rotation and then, into a permanent supervisory position at any of our operations throughout Canfor Southern Pine.

As a current employee, you already understand our operations from the inside out but what you’re asking yourself now is, “what’s next?” Your eagerness to grow and succeed with Canfor is obvious. You are hardworking, self-motivated, responsible, and motivated. You have high attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and are willing to work on all shifts in all conditions. Hungry for a challenge, you have the humility to learn, and the smarts to effectively navigate both people and operational problems. You are a change maker who has set a goal to lead in operations and most importantly, you have the flexibility to work from any of our CSP operations.
