We are seeking a reliable individual to join Piece Pull team at our production facility based in Everett, WA.

Lumber Yard Assistant Job Summary

To ensure efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Works with finished material to build custom pack sizes for outbound orders
• Ensures quality by removing damaged material from packages
• Verify quality of finished wood pieces by visually inspecting them, comparing them to templates, or other finished products.
• Accurately document jags that were used to build custom pack size and what jag size is returning to finished inventory
• Turn in all accurate documentation pertaining to custom pack builds into the Production Control Manager in a timely fashion
• Consolidate jags into standard pack size as needed
• UPC material safely using an air gun, verifying label to material
• Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing shipping needs
• Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality and shipping best practices
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment (6S) by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Performing daily equipment checks and lubricating equipment

Qualification requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good math and reading skills
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude always
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
• Reliability and punctuality
• Remain flexible about duties and expectations
• Excel at performing repetitive tasks accurately for long periods of time
• Work well as part of a team as well as independently

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical demands and abilities

• Frequently lift to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Previous warehouse experience, such as knowledge in packaging and shipping standards
• On occasion, operating a forklift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
