Position Overview

The Implementation Team Lead will provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring to the Implementation teams to ensure our clients are both satisfied and retained long term. The Team Lead will provide regular feedback to the Project Managers on areas of improvement and to identify areas of success. The Team Lead will be instrumental in assisting the Implementation Managers by providing feedback on staff performance, client issues, and actions needed to improve the department and maintain service success. The Team Lead must be able to identify and effectively communicate areas of training improvements and common performance deficits as well as offer praise and positive promotion of a job well done. The Team Lead will be looked upon to deliver various training to our Implementation teams to ensure they are knowledgeable on our company’s offerings. To achieve this, the Team Lead must have a complete understanding of service standards, products, policies, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations for their designated team
  • Supervise the work of their assigned group on a day to day basis, which may include delegation of work assignments to various team members
  • Provide training and assist with coaching and development of new and existing team members
  • Facilitate communication through regularly occurring meetings, 1:1s or team huddles
  • Provide input and recommendations to managers in the areas of performance management, promotional opportunities, employee terminations and, performance issues which are generally followed by the manager
  • Develop and collaborate with management on best practices and ways to improve the team’s performance
  • Handle escalated client/departmental issues and deciding what, if anything, to do or offer to achieve resolution
  • Assist in training new Consultants: act as primary contact for new hires and make recommendations for supplemental training for all team members
  • Act as technical resource, answer inquiries as needed
  • Assist in answering client overflow calls
  • Update internal training documentation as necessary
  • Technical support resource for team
  • Mentor/coach peers as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of client management experience in the payroll/HCM industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years professional experience in implementation/project management in a Software-as-a-Service environment.
  • Pro-active, thorough approach to problem solving.
  • Customer-focused with a service-orientated approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt communication style to variety of stakeholders including those where English is not their first language.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations, determine importance, urgency, and risks; making timely decisions in the best interest of both the client and Blue Marble.
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to establish priorities, develop work plans, assess progress towards goals, and pay attention to detailed data and information.
  • Highly resilient in the face of adversity and manage stress effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team.
  • Confidence in dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty, and the need to change rapidly.
  • Highly motivated and driven professional individual with proven track record of delivering projects on time with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Forward thinking, able to plan and organize own workload to balance work and life.

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.
  • Multiple language fluency would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working remotely/virtually.
  • Deep understanding of software implementations, preferably payroll processing software.
  • Knowledge/exposure to domestic and international HCM solutions (e.g. Ceridian, Kronos, Namely, BambooHR, ULTIPRO, Workday, etc.)
  • Experience working for a business going through substantial growth and change with the ability to utilize change management skills to help drive the business to achieve its objectives.
  • Occasional travel to bi-annual company-wide meetings, tradeshows, conferences, etc.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $63,425 - $88,653 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
