We are seeking an Lead Developer in one of our Woolpert offices or possibly telecommute based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively communicate to team the latest technological developments affecting our industry and identify opportunities for industry presentations
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Perform reviews of solution design and code
  • Design, develop and unit test applications
  • Interest and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to solve challenging problems
  • Comfortable with agile software development practices, continuous integration, and test-driven development
  • Interest in leading, mentoring, and supporting other developers both by example and through your subject matter expertise
  • Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables and lead team of technical staff in creating deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years Software Development in three or more of the following languages: C#, Java, SQL (any flavor), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python
  • Experience with automated software testing at various levels including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Proven track record of coaching team members and ability to set clear expectations and goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to create official work / cost estimates for software development tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
  • Quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47.00 per hour
