Job description

Position starts at $18.00 per hour along with annual merit increases and production bonuses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Processes computers and accessories, determining what is to be sold and what is to be sent to E-waste.


Diagnostic and repair of systems that are malfunctioning, during the sorting process, or for a customer return.


Processes/repairs game discs and cartridges and game systems to proper working order.


Placement and organization of all materials determined to be backstock.


Load and unloading of materials on the box trucks, and any donations.


Maintain a safe and clean work area, as well as cleanup nightly.


Processes customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer.


Answers questions from customers and assists customers with shopping needs.


Pulls racks for transporting computers and accessories from the back room to the sales floor and places items on sales floor racks. Ensures that items are placed on sales racks in the designated areas.


Rearranges items on racks and shelves, removes items from the floor, dusts and pulls items from racks that are too full to ensure that the sales floor is kept in a clean, neat and properly displayed manner.


Greets donors to receive merchandise, providing donor with an itemized receipt, if desired. Places donated items in containers with other similar products.


Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Store Manager or other member of management.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises store employees in the absence of/and at the direction of the Store Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager with Operation and management of a retail outlet to include all administrative and clerical duties associated with such, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; budget management.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
:

A good working knowledge of pc repair and diagnosis is required. Previous work experience in pc repair is a plus. Must be capable of constantly learning new processes and about new product.
