Position Description
The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst is part of an overall strategic plan that supports system-wide data quality, access, transparency, and performance improvement initiatives through robust data analysis, adherence to DQA standards, and the development of informational dashboards. This position assumes a role in the re-engineering efforts of AU Health regarding the measurement and benchmarking of business operations in relation to best business practices for healthcare service industry and internal business objectives. The Lead BI Analyst assists in strategic planning and implementation of strategic planning and implementation of strategic plan along with providing analysis of and actionable insight from the organization's data and data systems.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or other related field and 5 years or more of experience in business intelligence and/or healthcare data management. Excel/Access, PowerPoint, Tableau or Power BI, analytic software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, STATA). Demonstrated analytical ability with reporting to non-technical audience. Experience with clinical and operational data intelligence tools. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prototype rapidly, iterate quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced knowledge in BI Tools (Design, Development and Implementation). Power Platforms experience is a plus.
Preferred Requirements
Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Biomedical Informatics, Business Administration, or other related field. 7 years or more of experience in business intelligence/health informatics/clinical data analytics. Medical terminology with significant clinical/healthcare analytic experience. A deep understanding of data preprocessing and DQA standards. Experience with Cerner EMR, 3M 360. Experience in healthcare operations and/or Academic Medicine. Advanced knowledge in Modeling/Predictive Analytics, Python SQL experience. Tableau Desktop Certified.
