Job description
The laundry aide position is responsible for picking up soiled laundry and delivering clean laundry to residents. This includes washing, drying and hanging up resident clothing. It also includes the collection, washing, drying and redistributing bed linens and towels. Additional duties may be assigned by the department Supervisor.
- Must follow policies and procedures set forth in Environmental Care Manual and Disaster Manual.
- Must demonstrate safety in being around and using laundry chemicals and follow all policies and procedures.
- Act appropriately under the direction of the Supervisor.
- Demonstrate ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs.
- Be aware and mindful of Resident Rights and Confidentiality. Be aware of Resident Abuse Reporting Law.
- Interact with resident's family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgemental, supportive and calm manner.
- Report family satisfaction issues immediately to Supervisor.
- Use facility equipment safely.
Shift: Part time
Hours: 7am-3pm and every other weekend 7am-7pm
