Primarily responsible for the direct supervision of daily landscape maintenance areas and assigned staff members. This individual must possess or obtain within 3 months, a pesticide application certification through the Texas Department of Agriculture.- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations as outlined in the Omni Hotels employee handbook.
- Operate all equipment safely and with care and consideration of its value. Report any damage and or lack of performance to a supervisor. Also demonstrate an understanding of the work order system for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Perform all landscape maintenance tasks with a sense of pride and ownership adhering to established quality guidelines for daily property conditioning.
- Demonstrate proficient abilities to lead a team to accomplish established goals.
- Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of landscape plant material and its proper applications.
- Recognize the various equipment applications necessary to assist when assigning job tasks.
- Understand daily job assignment chart to maximize staff capabilities in accomplishing daily maintenance as it relates to Owners/managers/members/guests requirements.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professionalism with a positive attitude.
Tools and Equipment:
- Hand tools
- Trimming tools
- Mowing equipment
- Transportation vehicles
- Irrigation system including programming of controllers
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts upwards of 12-16 hours.
- Must be able to work outside in the heat/cold on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.
- Must be able to safely and properly operate a golf cart.
Working Environment:
- High paced busy environment
- Work regularly inside and outside the golf shops. Travel around the resort property required.
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
