• Responsibilities include quality assurance, safety, regulatory standards, budgetary/fiscal duties, and overall performance of staff and operations.
• Standardizing operating procedures to ensure safe and quality patient care is a key component of this role, as well as educating and informing on policies and procedures.
• The Laboratory Services Manager will lead and direct the work of other employees and has responsibility for employee actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
• The Laboratory Services Manager will contribute to the direction and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
• The Laboratory Services Manager establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.

• NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of post-bachelor’s experience in laboratory services field (i.e. Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Point of Care testing, etc.).
• Experience and skills in project management.
• Experience leading people (direct and indirect leadership roles); demonstrated people development results.
