Summary of Job Duties:
- Assists with retrieval of internal slides and blocks. Weekly schedule is followed for multiple locations. Tracking of slides and blocks in Epic/Acros if previously pulled. Separates newer cases to be placed in oven for 24 hours prior to filing.
- Filing of internal cases chronologically into slide drawers then place into medal filing cabinets. Cabinets are labeled with corresponding case type and number range.
- Assists with internal request of pathology material. All cases are checked out and in to the tracking system in Epic and Acros.
- Scanning of block drawers into the Acros system when received from histology for filing.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School, GED or formal education equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in a medical laboratory.
