The Kitchen Mechanic will be responsible for working closely with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment in order to provide necessary maintenance and repairs on all related equipment in kitchens in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years prior experience working on all types of commercial kitchen equipment including but not limited to; convection ovens dish machines ice machines steam kettles mixers gas cooktops blast chillers and coffee makers.
• License(s) in Plumbing Gas Fitting HVAC or Refrigeration not required but preferred.
• Prior experience working in a high volume kitchen.
• Must be familiar working with walk-in coolers freezers and ice machines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain a work order system.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
• Must have the ability to bend squat and frequently list 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for keeping quality records of all repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Advise the engineering management team of deficiencies throughout the hotel and assist with the development of solutions for repair.
• Order and maintain appropriate par levels of all related materials as needed.
• The kitchen mechanic will be required to work different shifts with proper notification based on the needs of the kitchen.
• Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures noted in the employee handbook.
• Perform all related duties as requested.
