Job description
The Key Access Technician assists the Senior Key Access Coordinator with the management of the locksmith services.
Duties and Tasks:
- Responsible for the distribution of keys and managing the key and lock databases.
- Works under limited supervision using standardized practices and methods.
- Assist in the repairs of broken cores, keys and locksets.
Essential Functions:
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Understanding of electronic access control devices.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Good computer skill.
- Ability to work with other departments including campus police department.
- Ability to respond and communicate to request in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Some experience with key systems and databases
- Possesses- Certified Locksmith certification.
