Join the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas AmeriCorps VISTA Program. The Unified Government (UG) has committed to civic innovation, job creation, economic development, and the health of Wyandotte County residents - and our members are contributing in significant ways! We proudly offer our VISTAs a $100/month housing stipend! The VISTA would play a key role in standardizing cemetery records into spreadsheets for easier access and use. The Wyandotte County Museum holds the records for 11 abandoned cemeteries in the county and gets frequent requests for plot information of burials without headstones. Additionally, this member would develop new educational materials and create outreach marketing materials for new programs, and reach out to underserved schools.

Member Duties : The VISTA would be key in standardizing cemetery records into spreadsheets for easier access and use. Another part of the VISTA's work will be to assist in expanding the museum's outreach efforts through new programs and education.
