Short Description

We are seeking a Junior IT Project Manager with either a software development, technical writer, or IT business analyst background to support project management tasks for application development, policy development, change management, and support planning solutions. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of professional IT experience with exceptional communication skills; 3+ years of familiarity with software development; 3+ years working in a team environment; and 5+ years of word processing software (MS Word or Google Docs).

Note: This position is perfect for those with a high sense of professionalism, organization, and excellent speaking and writing skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

The Junior IT Project Manager will be tasked to:

  • Apply project management best practice to manage and contribute to application development, policies development, change management, IT systems development, and support planning solutions
  • Receive direction and priorities from Senior Team Members
  • Create, plan, maintain, and track the project team schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Understand the client’s business requirements and business process flows
  • Support the delivery of artifacts on time and under budget
  • Obtain sign-off(s)
  • Communicate effectively with Clients and IT staff on requirements and solutions
  • Provide suggestions for improvement during the development stage to ensure the client’s business needs are met
  • Apply conceptual knowledge of business and technology processes to solve complex operations and/or procedural problems
  • Evaluate requirements/data collected through Interviews, business process analysis, surveys, and/or JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Track, document, and manage remediation of project issues and risks
  • Prepare and delivery weekly status reports
  • Plan, document, track, and present milestone deliverables
  • Document and coordinate any change requests related to the working project
  • Assist with the introduction of any new technology tools, templates, policies, procedures, and/or best practices
  • Complete paid training and obtain required certification
  • Other tasks as necessary
