Job Description:
Whitecap is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant to work closely with our marketing and sales teams to help design printed and digital catalogs, web & social media content, high-impact creative newsletters, aid in product photo editing, work on photo/video campaigns in our photo & video studio, create and archive sell-sheets and printed ad material, work closely with our E-Commerce team to aid in the creation of ads and campaigns and assist in the management of our many product websites. The position also requires an individual who can help with photo asset management/storage and be a contact point for our national and international field sales units.
The candidate must show demonstrated proficiency in the following:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Acrobat).
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- E-Commerce dashboard platforms & practices (Shopify, Wayfair, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc)
- Additional experience in studio photography & hi-res photo editing a plus.
- General ability to write creative ad copy.
- Assist in catalog design & creation for both print and digital.
- Write and edit general copy.
- High quality photo editing of parts and products when needed.
- Asset & content management for 4 company websites.
- Assist/Implement monthly, impactful digital newsletters and communications.
- Assist in field and studio photoshoots and video productions.
- Assist E-Commerce platform sales and marketing initiatives.
- Schedule and admin GOTO meetings with inside and field staff when needed.
- Graphic Design Degree (Preferred).
- An online design portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in the required design software.
- A keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
- Ability to work methodically to meet deadlines on several concurrent projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments including Marketing, Sales, Production, and Operations.
- Interest in learning more about the luxury brands and marine industries.
Job Type: Full-time, On-Site in our Piscataway Offices. Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
