Role Description:
Junior Account Managers are responsible for managing and growing their assigned key accounts and will practice sustaining relationships with their customers and prospects by understanding their customer’s design, fabrication, and analysis needs and then communicating (through both phone and email support) CEI’s solutions. Account managers work closely with CEI’s support, sales, engineering, R&D, marketing, and the management team to provide their customers with technical information and product demonstrations to achieve sales and office objectives as detailed by the Sales Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Junior Account Managers are responsible for the following primary duties
  • Attaining annual renewals for current customers by managing their contracts and focusing on up-sell or cross-sell opportunities before they renew.
  • Minimizing attrition.
  • Building and maintaining a sufficient pipeline in line with revenue and unit goals.
  • Maintaining current and accurate account and contact information within CRM.
  • Maintaining customer records.
  • Preparing and sending sales quotes and orders.
  • Coordinating virtual meetings with customers as well as product demonstrations and conference calls.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities for customers or leads to ensure customers are getting the full picture of CEI’s solutions.
  • Attending daily or weekly team meetings as required.
  • Completing general office and administrative duties as needed, including customer phone calls regarding invoicing and payments, assisting with vendor forms or registration, accurately storing documents, and backing up data regarding personal accounts.
Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in sales or a related field preferred.
  • 1 year of B2B sales experience with proven sales success.
  • Professional sales training.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Team-player attitude with drive, discipline, and positive energy.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc.); prior Salesforce or Hubspot usage is desired but not required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and able to coordinate workload to meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • This is a remote-hybrid position with a requirement to work in our Lee's Summit, MO or Overland Park, KS offices for a minimum of two days per week. Additional benefits include:
